      • Hi, HD.

George took 2 minor strokes about a year and a half ago and at present he is still recovering from them. He was really lucky that it hasn’t disabled him, but he just needs time to recover from it all.
I mentioned your blog to some American buddies on a blues forum i’m a member of and they loved your blog, so expect many visitors from across the pond. It was a John Campbell forum. “Devil in my closet”

A’ the best to you and your blog. Slainte, Tam.

  6. Sorry to hear about the two strokes, it is a miracle that he has survived two without disablement.

    Pass on my best wishes.

Now John Campbell there is a name from the past a big loss his death in 1993 if I remember correctly.

The “Howlin Mercy” album was a big favourite of mine at the time, must dig it out a give it a post.

    Thanks for the referrals.

  7. Hi, HD.

If you need any info on John Campbell, here’s a couple of good stops –
    http://www.myspace.com/bonesandbluesclub
    http://www.devilinmycloset.net/
There is also a Yahoo group and some facebook sites as well.
I was over in Texas last year for one their reunion weekends, fab time was had by all.
Me and George spent some time with John in “92” at the montreal blues festival in Canada, we had a rare time with him. sad loss to the blues world.

  10. To Whom It May Concern-

My name is Arleen Fung and I am from the Marketing / New Media department at Rhino Records. My coordinator, Raymond Kurzeka, and I are running a grassroots marketing campaign for the upcoming Jeff Beck Live At The Grammy Museum release on iTunes on Monday,10/25, and I wanted to know if you would be interested in helping our marketing efforts in promoting the release. I was wondering if you had a business email that I can send you attachments and links, which include the press release, the cover art, banners, and more. Please let me know if you are interested. I am looking forward to potentially aligning efforts with your site to help drive traffic to both your content and ours as well, and anything you can do to help is greatly appreciated.

    Sincerely,

    Arleen Fung

  12. Hi – I’m commenting because I cannot find an email address. I’m interested in the image atop the https://thehelplessdancer.wordpress.com/2009/03/10/cohen-rescues-song-from-pop-idol/ post. Is that an image of an actual poster for that concert? If so, I’d like to include it in my collection, Signs Of Leonard Cohen – http://drhguy.posterous.com/tag/signsoflc. If that is the case, please let me know how you prefer the credit read. Thanks,
    Allan

As far as I am aware this is a Concert Poster.

I do not know who the originator of the poster was perhaps you could Google the concert for more information.

      Thanks for dropping in.

  13. I have a picture of 2 x £5 80s EMI Record Tokens for you – not sure how to get it to you.
If anyone wants them for face value I would be delighted !

    • Thanks for dropping in.

Unfortunately doubt anyone will want them at face value now that they can no longer be redeemed.

As for the picture is is digital or paper based?
