New News – Fleetwood Mac

Fleetwood Mac are set to re-unite next year for tour dates and a potential new album.

Fleetwood Mac overcame adversity to become the biggest rock band on the planet. Recorded amidst marriage break ups and escalating drug abuse, ‘Rumours’ remains one of the highest selling albums ever made.

Later drifting into excess, the band have always managed to overcome their
differences and put together a good show.

Yet the past decade has seen Fleetwood Mac drift into inactivity. Although the band did play a number of British dates in 2009, there have been no signs since then that the group were planning
another tour.

Legendary frontwoman Stevie Nicks returned with her latest solo album ‘In Your Dreams’ earlier this year, and now apparently has designs on a full re-union.

Speaking to Stateside celebrity blogger Perez Hilton the singer explained that Fleetwod Mac could re-group in 2012.

Currently, Stevie Nicks is busy promoting her solo record while guitarist Lindsay Buckingham is also preparing to release an album under his own name.

“When my album and Lindsey’s albums come to a stop” explained the singer,
“then Fleetwood Mac will gather again and we’ll either make another record or we
won’t and we’ll just go on tour.”

Fleetwood Mac last released an album in 2003, when ‘Say You Will’ ended a protracted
period of silence. Lindsay Buckingham is preparing to release his latest solo album ‘Seeds We Sow’ in Autumn.

There has been no official announcement on the future of Fleetwood Mac.
