The Endless Note

New Music – Malcolm Middleton

Malcolm Middleton has released a new live album exclusively avaialble via his website.

It’s a 2 CD gatefold digipack consisting of the final night of 2009’s “Long, Dark Night” solo acoustic tour recorded at Oran Mor in Glasgow, and “Malcolm Middleton With Band! Live In Zurich!“, which is self explanatory, but recorded at El Lokal on the 24th September 2009. The Zurich gig features none-other-than The Pictish Trail on guitars and vocals.

As noted above it can be purchased from his online SHOP.

You can buy the double CD, or digitally download each album individually if you prefer.

Every CD bought before the 16th of December will come with a personalised Christmas card from Malcolm, made out to the purchaser, or the person of their choice.

2010 Top 30 New and Old #25

Teenage Fanclub after several years in the “shadows” stepped back into the limelight to release a great album called “Shadows” from which this is my favourite track.

“When I Still Have Thee” – Teenage Fanclub

From the western isles to the tasman sea
There’s a world of men and machinery
But the birds still sing and the sun shines free
No, I don’t need much when I still have thee

Well, the rolling stones wrote a song for me
It’s a minor song in a major key
But the stars still shine, the museums free
No, I don’t need much when I still have thee

It’s a modern hymn for the you and me
For the go between and the red army
Long as I still breathe and the air’s still free
No, I don’t need much when I still have thee

But the birds still sing and the sun shines free
No, I don’t need much when I still have thee
For the rolling stones and the red army
No, I don’t need much when I still have thee

Josh Ritter’s “In The Dark Live At Vicar Street” was released back in 2006, somehow I missed it but since buying the combined CD/DVD set back in February it has been a regular play.
