  1. Actually…………….

The Craig Armstrong track is alright but that is because Craig Armstrong is a genius (saw him recently playing at Oran Mor). The Massive Attack thing is ok again probably due largely to CA’s production

It’s the jangly production and pretentiousness I hate about the Cocteau Twins. They’re like the Associates who I also loathe with a passion. No one is supposed to say they’re pish even when they plainly are!
I just find them about the most unlistenable thing in the world next to Camera Obscura’s ‘Hey Lloyd’ which is the most annoying record ever made this side of Altered Images.

There you go HD job done!

    • Craig Armstrong is indeed a musical genius and his arrangements for Madonna’s “Ray Of Light” album made it her best ever.

  2. How anyone can listen to Cocteau Twins and describe it as ‘unlistenable’….that makes me shudder.

    What?

    • One of the joys of music is it’s general ability to please and annoy people from listening to the same piece of music.

      Each to their own

      Thanks for dropping in
