There can be no doubt that Lorraine Ellison recorded the classic version of “Stay With Me Baby” so the question has to be why has Richard Curtis chosen to feature Duffy singing an inferior version on the soundtrack to his latest film “The Boat That Rocked” which is about the pirate radio era of the 60’s?
