Stringing You Along
Plucking brilliant!!!
AC/DC Greatest Hits In Disguise
Australian hard rock legends AC/DC are to soundtrack forthcoming blockbuster ‘Iron Man 2′.
AC/DC are one of the most important rock bands of all time. Formed at the peak of the progressive era, the Australian group reduced rock music to a savage boogie and screaming guitar solos.
Becoming cult heroes the band’s astonishing live show and filthy lyrics made them heroes to a new generation of British rock fans. Breaking the United States with their album ‘Back In Black’ the band remain rock behemoths.
Now AC/DC are set to soundtrack ‘Iron Man 2′. The forthcoming blockbuster movie will feature fifteen songs from the band’s back catalogue, no doubt fuelling Tony Sparks’ incredible action scenes.
Due for release on April 30th, the film will be preceded by a soundtrack album on April 19th. AC/DC have always steadfastly refused to compile a ‘Best Of’ preferring to allow fans to pick apart their career album by album.
Opening with ‘Shoot To Thrill’ the new soundtrack album is an excellent summation of the band’s back catalogue. Containing Bon Scott classics such as ‘If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)’ the soundtrack trawls through the ages.
Closing with ‘Highway To Hell’ the album also features ‘War Machine’ – could this be a giveaway of the film’s plot? Time will tell.
AC/DC’s forthcoming ‘Iron Man 2′ soundtrack is released on April 19th. Tracklisting is as follows:
‘Shoot To Thrill’
‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Damnation’
‘Guns for Hire’
‘Cold Hearted Man’
‘Back In Black’
‘Thunderstruck’
